How to Make Your Local Database Accessible

You can use ngrok to create a secure tunnel to your local database:

Install ngrok
Download ngrok and create a free account
Start a TCP tunnel to your database port
ngrok tcp [YOUR_DATABASE_PORT]
Example: ngrok tcp 5432 for PostgreSQL
Use the ngrok forwarding address
Ngrok will display a forwarding address like 0.tcp.ngrok.io:12345
- Host: 0.tcp.ngrok.io
- Port: 12345 (the port displayed by ngrok)
Configure your database to accept remote connections
Ensure your database is configured to:
- Accept connections from any IP (0.0.0.0/0)
